Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha will release the song I Can’t Give Anymore in digital platforms on Jan. 31 this year. The song was recorded and produced in Los Angeles, California, USA, ‘will be treated as an international release’ since Star Music has already expanded internationally.
Lani described the song as ‘foreign sounding’ and is a collaboration of three songwriters — a Filipino, an American and a Korean. The nightingale hopes to also reach out to the younger generation, the so-called millenials.
Lani signed a two-year recording contract with Star Music, the music arm of ABS-CBN last Dec. 10, 2019. The singer hopes to complete 12 songs for an album.
All the songs will be original songs including those written by Filipinos but these will all be in English to target a wider market.
Present during the contract signing were Jonathan Manalo, creative director of Star Music, and Roxy Liquigan, head of the Kapamilya music arm.
The ‘semi-retired’ entertainer shuttles between the Philippines and Las Vegas, USA where she is currently residing with her husband Noli Agustin who also acts as her manager.
