PRESS RELEASE
June 1, 2023
Beginning June 4, exciting adventures and laughter-filled Sunday nights await Kapuso viewers as the hit and iconic film “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis”finally gets a TV adaptation on GMA Network. The program is headlined by Titanic Action Star, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., as Police Major Bartolome Reynaldo, the fearless policeman dedicated to fighting crime and maintaining peace and order. In this series, Police Major Bartolome Reynaldo is admired for his good looks, fearlessness, and popularity with the ladies. But there is one thing that grounds Tolome, and that’s his fear of his wife, Gloria. Tolome has gained a lot of enemies as he goes after criminals in his line of work. Even the cops who bend the rules also want to see him fail. Despite these, Tolome remains focused on doing his duty with the support of his feisty yet loving wife. “I’m very excited pero nandoon pa rin ‘yung kaba. Kapag kinakabahan ako, ibig sabihin maganda ang ginagawa namin. So I’m very thankful sa lahat ng mga bumubuo ng show. Lahat sila nag-fit sa roles. Kung hindi man mapantayan ng show na ito ang iconic movie, masasabi kong nalagpasan pa. Sigurado akong maiibigan ito ng mga manonood kasi pilot episode pa lang, action packed series na ang mapapanood ng viewers” shares Senator Bong. Playing an important role is highly-talented actress Beauty Gonzalez as Gloria, showing off her comedic side in her role as a tough, determined, and resilient woman. Gloria can also be very jealous, especially with all the girls surrounding Tolome. Beauty expresses her gratitude for landing the role of Gloria and her experience working with Sen. Bong Revilla, “Nung nalaman kong ako ang napili rito, happy ako but I was really thinking kung paano ako makipag-interact kay Sen. Bong. We all know that he is a Filipino icon, an action star, a senator. At sa seryeng ito ako ‘yung matapang niyang asawa. Then nung first day ng taping namin, the more na nakilala ko si Sen. Bong, napakabait niya, very boy-next-door kaya hindi ako magtataka kung bakit siya matinik.” Starring in Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis is Sparkle leading lady Max Collins as Elize. Elize vows to work with Tolome to track down the bad guys. Surprisingly, the investigation leads them to a deeper and darker case. Max reveals what to expect in this series, “Ngayon na lang ulit ako sasabak sa comedy series after a while. But kakaiba ito kasi may action and drama kaya perfect for the whole family. There is something for everyone. Dito sa show, maraming babae talaga ang umaaligid kay Tolome kaya the viewers have to find out kung magkakaroon ba at sino ang magiging third party.” Joining the ensemble cast are some of Sparkle’s sought-after stars: Kate Valdez as Sheena, Kelvin Miranda as Gary, Raphael Landicho as Kiko. Playing equally important roles are Carmi Martin as Lucing, Niño Muhlach as Sylvestre, Dennis Padilla as Police Major Vincent, Maey Bautista as Candida, Nikki Co as Dustin, and Dennis Marasigan as Police Colonel Lorenzo.
