From the 12 young and lovely candidates vying for the title Ms. Argao 2023, three finalists were chosen last Sunday, Sept. 17, for the Darling of the Press special award. These are Kate Antonette Remoroza, Cindy Naparota and Rebecca Ann Dollisen.
The other ladies in the line-up are Kristine Escalante, Iza Pearl Alo, Mayelle Mamalias, Goddys Jia Antipuesto, Krishia Natalie Algones, Emerald Rose Mier, Casey Lynne Languido, Nicole Villacorte and Richelyn Villegas.
Coronation night is scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 28, the eve of the annual feast of the town’s patron, St. Michael The Archangel. Announcement of the Darling of the Press special award will be done prior to the coronation of the town queen.
Four entertainment media practitioners were invited to select the lady who does not only possess a beautiful face and shapely body but also has the ability to express her thoughts and opinions about herself, trending issues and practically anything around her.
These were Ma. Niza Mariñas of Sun Star Cebu, Flor Querubin of Super Balita, Sanden Anadia of Banat News and Roger Serna of Sun Star Cebu. The event was held at the ballroom of the Maayo Resort Hotel.
The official jingle of the pageant, “Babayeng Argaoanon” which was composed by Jed Castro, was also launched that night.
Argao Vice Mayor Orvi Ortega and Tourism Officer Vip Semilla had their hands full in entertaining the guests and ensuring the success of the event. Some municipal councilors and the winners of last year’s Ms. Argao pageant also graced the occasion. Photos: Vic Kintanar
