“Pira-pirasong Paraiso,” “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin” fire up afternoon primetime viewing over ABS-CBN, TV5

Two explosive productions, “Pira-pirasong Paraiso” and “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin,” the first collaboration between ABS-CBN and TV5, are set to make the usually dreary afternoon TV viewing time more exciting.

“Pira-pirasong Paraiso” has Loisa Andalio, Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad and Elisse Joson in the lead along with KD Estrada, Ronnie Alonte and Joseph Marco.

Also in the cast are Sunshine Dizon, Markus Paterson, Epy Quizon and Art Acuña, with the special participation of Snooky Serna. “Pira-pirasong Pangarap” is directed by Raymund B. Ocampo and Roderick Lindayag.

The eldest strived to reconnect with the younger sisters but trials threatened to ruin her goal and their lives themselves.

During the media conference, Charlie Dizon said most of the scenes in “Pira-pirasong Paraiso” are full of love, tearful and “bloody.” Ronnie Alonte, KD Estrada and the young ladies agree that family plays a great part of their own ‘paraiso.’

Eloisa Andalo thanks the production for entrusting her with a role she considers Meryl Streep-type which she also considers her ‘paraiso.’ Sunshine Dizon describes the script as “challenging, interesting and with many new ingredients.”

Snooky Serna and Epy Quizon thanked the production for the trust and confidence in casting them which signals that both are still quite active as actors. Epy describes the story as having deep twists and turns adding that the “characters are more human due to the sinister plot.”

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez sings the series’ theme song “Lipad ng Pangarap.”

“Nag-aapoy na Damdamin,” on the other hand, stars JC de Vera, Ria Atayde, Tony Labrusca, and Jane Oineza together with Joko Diaz, Kim Rodriguez, Maila Gumila, Carla Martinez, Aya Fernandez, Nico Antonio, Jeffrey Santos and Richard Quan.

It dwells on rivalry and revenge, directed by FM Reyes and Benedict Mique and produced by JRB Creative Production. It is described as “teleseryeng sagad ang gantihan.”

Direk FM Reyes said that the story is from a man’s point of view, giving more demand from the male protagonists.

Jane Oineza, as Olivia and Claire, revealed that the role is a delicate and intimate challenge and signals her readiness to portray more mature roles.

Tony Labrusca describes his role as “most intriguing character,” hard to play and thanked the directors for the trust and the guidance. He had to study and immerse in the role of a lawyer.

JC de Vera had to watch movies, talk to a couple of doctors in his desire to give justice to his role as a doctor.

Ria Atayde exerted effort to bond with Tony, with whom she has intimate scenes, since she is not close with the actor unlike the other cast members whom she knew on a personal level.’ Both Tony and Ria admitted that being ‘Engliseros’ made them click easily.

Direk FM admits being meticulous adding that he himself “personally requested production for a rather expensive prosthetics to make the breast surgery scene of Richard Quan appear very realistic.”

He said that shooting sex scenes especially with Tony and Ria “with their clothes on is painting the scene with so much heat and emotion.”

Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 6 grand champion Lyka Estrella sings the series’ theme song “Hawak Mo.”

Uncover the secrets in “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” and “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin” Monday through Friday on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, TFC, A2Z, and TV5 beginning July 25 (Tuesday) at 3pm and 3:50pm, respectively. “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” will also air on Saturdays at 2:30pm.
